Our Testimonials

We have many installations within the UK and can supply references (where permitted) not only for our work quality but also for the respect and confidentiality shown to our clients. From the outset.

From the outset we found CSC Window Films a pleasure to work with. They were speedy to come to Hughenden and measure and provide a competitive quote for the required works. The fitters were punctual and efficient. With all the winter tasks that need to be done in a Mansion House in a very little time, it was a pleasure to be able to trust the fitters to get on without being supervised all the time. They completed the works within budget and would on seek advice if they came across an unforeseen problems. They completed the works within budget and within the time frame they had said. They were trusted with the Mansion keys and lone working among the collection which is vital to me as a house manager.
I would recommend the unreservedly and indeed employ them again in the future as their post fitting customer care is very good.

Overall we have been very pleased with the service we received. They replied very quickly and were able to carry out a quotation visit shortly afterwards., as well as being understanding about our needing the work carried out soon thereafter, Toby and his colleague were excellent on site getting on with their work with professionalism, asking for assistance when required, and giving us no cause for concern about leaving them unsupervised. On departure, Toby also gave us some further advice on using the blinds and pointed out a couple of blinds that needed monitoring and possible replacements in the future. Could you please pass on my thanks to him personally thank you very much for a quick and professional service.

Following the recent replacement of the UV film on various rooms here at Weston Park, I wanted to write to say what a pleasure it has been to deal with CSC. Both Toby and his colleague, were both efficient and extremely tidy in their work, leaving our own staff to praise their cleanliness in what had been anticipated as a messy job. Their care and advice to our own housekeeping team was very much appreciated. We will not hesitate to recommend you to other historic houses or individuals with a need for UV film at their properties.

CSC Window Films carried out the installation of ultraviolet filters on the windows in the principal rooms at Glympton Park earlier this year. The work was very efficiently managed by Jed Southgate and carried out with the minimum of fuss or intrusion into the normal routine of the household. I strongly recommend Jed Southgate and CSC Window Films to any house owner considering installing ultraviolet filters to protect soft furnishings and pictures.

I have used Jed Southgate of CSC Window Films for quite a few years now. His company provides an outstanding service in protecting our furniture and fabrics from the harsh sunlight which can do untold damage to both furniture and materials. The service he provides by covering the panes of window glass is totally undetected and hence leaves his customers with a clear conscience that they are doing their upmost to protect their property from the harsh rays of sunlight. I whole heartedly recommend CSC Window Films to my own clients. All my clients have been full of praise for Jed and his company and I wish them well.

Many thanks for the work your firm has done in applying your special window films to all those windows in my house. I am delighted with the workmanship – the film is virtually invisible to the casual observer. I can only determine which windows have been done by applying a fingernail to the very edge of the window frame to feel the difference in a surface level on the glass. Considering some of the windows in this house are quite old glass also the frames are thin and not always that straight, I thought they had done remarkably well. I would also like to compliment you on the speed and efficiency of your workmen. They were a pleasure to have working in the house, and extremely tidy with the equipment they were working with and very good at cleaning up after themselves when they had finished. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone with a similar problem, and enclose my cheque in full settlement of your last invoice which included the extra room I added on at the end.

CSC Windows completed two contracts for the application of UV film at the Gallery of Modern Art in 2007. We are very pleased with the work that has been carried out, was done efficiently and to a high standard.

Torre Abbey, Historic House, Gallery and former abbey – founded in 1196 – is very complex building. As the new Keeper of Art in post I was ask , following a 6 million pound redevelopment, to make the building suitable for the 6,000 items in the collection. My first thought was to look at the UV issue – Torre Abbey has 122 rooms and nearly 100 windows, which date from the 17th Century onwards and the UV filters were last replaced in 1993. It seemed vital to engage a company with the experience to undertake this skilled work and having received several quotes CSC Window Films offered the best all round service. Their experience working with the National Trust became apparent and too their knowledge of safety regulations. The work was done by the company over several phases, which was very helpful as we were also undertaking a major re-hang at the same time. It was satisfying to be able to present the company with a difficult problem to solve: several of the windows in Torre Abbey are stone mullioned and have diamond leaded glass. Such windows are notoriously difficult to apply UV film to, indeed other companies had refused to undertake the work, for fear of breakages. I urged CSC Window Films to consider a solution and they did so. It is perfectly simple one – a sheer UV film fixed to a roller blind mechanism. Torre Abbey now has four of these in a situ and is probably the only Historic House in the country to have such a neat solution.
CSC also rose to the challenge when I asked them to assist the poor curator (me) in trying to keep track of the logistics of this mammoth task. At my suggestion they designed and printed some small round labels which they discreetly applied to the windows. These give the dateof the UV installation or, where necessary, state that safety film has been applied. This seems vital because museaum professionals are often amazed at how much time has passed and are convinced that conservation measures are only a few years old when, in fact, often decades have passed by. Proper documentation solves this, but a visual reminder is more user friendly. I have enjoyed going on this journey with CSC Window Films and I am pleased that Torre Abbey’s artefacts are once again well protected.
