Estimated life depends very much on the construction of the window, thickness of glass and how the film is cleaned after installation we usually find a life of up to 20 years is a good average.

Preservation is at the heart of what we do
At CSC Window Films & Blinds, our mission is to provide every client, from historic houses, museums and galleries to private homes, with a complete service. We combine expert light surveys with honest conservation advice and the professional installation of British-made blinds and protective window films, helping to safeguard interiors without compromising their authenticity.
In wPreservation is at the heart of what we do. CSC was the first company to adopt the National Trust Code of Practice for Collections Conservation in Situ, supporting properties in following appropriate conservation routines. Alongside this commitment to preservation, CSC is the exclusive UK installer of Scottish Holland Heritage Blinds, made in Scotland, with no contractors used to install CSC or Scottish Holland products.
Our approach also combines innovation with long-term protection. CSC has developed non-invasive solutions such as Uvista Panels to protect delicate leaded windows, while internal film products are backed by up to 10 years’ manufacturer’s warranty. A free light survey after 10 years provides clients with confirmation that their light protection remains effective.
As a Heritage, Gallery, Museums and Country Home specialist CSC work very closely with Architects, Curators and Estate Managers to ensure the standards demanded are met or even exceeded.
